Wooo! I finally found my Vista Cruiser. A guy I found off a Vista Cruiser mailing list lives in Spokane and has one he'll sell me, a 1971. It's only got the 350 engine, not the 455, but it's in great running shape and had the 3 rows of seats. I'll be driving over there to get it in a few weeks.

He's going to take some pictures of it, once I get 'em I'll post 'em. (heh, I'll take video once I get near it)

Mmmmm, 5,000lbs of Detroit steel... with passenger sunroofs!

yeah, I know I'm nuts.

I'm going to miss the Husky football game this saturday vs Cal (away game) since I'll be backpacking with two of my brothers. That will kick ass, I always laugh my ass off with them. I'll bring my little AM radio to see if I can catch the game or the score at least...

Wooo! My Dawgs won this weekend, beating Idaho 53-3. Yet another field goal blocked for a touchdown, I could really get to like that play.

Had a fun weekend. Besides the football game (Isabel's first!), we had some friends over on Friday for dinner, and Bridget's pot roast kicked ass. MmmmmmmmmMEAT you can cut with a fork! On Saturday, after the game, a friend had a end-of-summer BBQ hot tub party, and since Bridget was exhausted she left after an hour and I ended up playing kill-the-keg (Mmmm Elysian Golden Fleece Ale) with some friends. Eventually, once the keg blew, a panic set in, causing me to climb out of the hot tub, up a tree to the deck above us, to find more beer. All that was left were cans of Bud Lite, which is only marginally beer, but has enough alcohol to maintain a buzz, if you drink 'em fast enough.

Anyway, to say the least, I was hung like a french monkey on Sunday. Ugga. .

Alright, I've gotta get my nose back to the old blogstone.

While I don't particularly *like* GW Bush, and I hate how he pronounces terror as "terra", I do think he's on the right track with Bin Laden and terrorists in general.

US citizens who commit acts of terrorism are criminals, and get trials. (And executions). Foriegn nationals who commit acts of terrorism on US soil are committing acts of war, and the proper response is to unleash hell upon them.

Japan learned to regret pissing off the US. It'd be nice if in 10 years, the surviving terror groups said, "Fuck, do NOT piss off the US." Somehow I don't think that will happen, since they're so fanatical, but if the US manages to get the world banking community to agree, we could manage to shut down the vast majority of their funding, which will leave them merely pissed and frustrated.

Isabel has stayed cute and fun throughout all this. My Huskies play the Idaho Vandals tomorrow, it'll be good to go to another football game.

Ugh. I just haven't felt like blogging.

I have no real desire to blog today. I'm just nauseated at the events. Waking up to a confusing radio report of some sort of attack on WTC, and 767, so I turned on my bedroom TV, to see with shock and horror that both towers were bashed and aflame. Within an hour, to my utter dismay, they both collapsed, live on TV.

Holy fucking uff-da.

WoooO! The Dawgs won, beating Michigan 23-18. This saturday they play #1 ranked Miami in Miami. We're 19-point underdogs. (underdawgs?). Oh well, at least we won't start the season 0-2. We've played Miami twice before, underdogs both times, and beat them both times, so maybe three's a charm.

It was a pretty good sports weekend for me, the Dawgs won, Bridget's Coug's won, the Seachickens won, even the Raiders won (my backup NFL team if the Seahawks are sucking). Plus the Mariners won Fri, Sat, and Sunday, by a margin of 22-2.

Isabel didn't go to the game because Bridget gave her seat to her friend who rents our basement. She went to Notre Dame (booo hiss!) but as she says, the first day of school there was a banner hanging on one of the dorms "Avoid the rush, start hating Michigan now!" Anyway, her two brothers both went to Michigan and were up from San Diego for the weekend to see the game, so we all went.

We're going to need some form of ear protection for her before the next Husky home game in two weeks. (vs Idaho, should be relatively easy).

MEAT

Heh, check this auction out. That's hysterical!

WoooooooOOOOOOOooooooooOOOOOOOooooo! TOMORROW is the UW vs Michigan game. Only 28 hours until kickoff, and today is the dept. kegger as well.

Recently we got the Food network added to our basic, non-digital cable. Fun channel if you like food. Last night I made Arroz Con Pollo, damn it was tasty.

I can cook OK, but I generally need a recipe. Bridget is just amazing, she is one of those cooks who can just wing everything from what's on hand. Fortunately, we have a ton of spices on hand. Mmmmmmm! It's nice to love your wife's cooking!

Ah....

I had a lovely labor day weekend. Took Friday and Tuesday off, and spent the whole time at my parent's place on Spirit Lake in north Idaho. It was awesome. They've built a gorgeous huge log home, it's right on the water. A bunch of my friends came as well, and mom kept us fed constantly. MUCH beer was drunk, the hot tub was well used, the lake was skinny dipped, and I'm exhausted but happy.

Going to the Mariner's game tonight, vs the Devil Rays. My first trip to Safeco field this year, and Isabel's first ever.

Three days until Husky football. Woooo!
